~ASSIGNMENT: In Garage band create a song that includes:
1. a beat/rhythm using drums, high hat, etc 2. a piano or guitar 3. a woodwind or brass instrument 4. at least one sound effect. 5. also fade in and out at beginning/end. 6. Make sure track volumes are at the right levels... sound effects should not be "over-powering," etc. 7. SO 4 TRACKS MINIMUM |

"Song #1 Project" to the left of this. Make each song to go with the Mood that is listed... 1. Sad, somber, or dark song :'( 2. Happy song :) 3. Chill song 4. Hip-hop/rap song |
Silent Film Project
Steps for Silent Movie Project:
1. Download the MP4 file named "Silent Movie" that was shared with you on Google Classroom.
2. Import it to Garage Band. Then save the the Garage Band Song as your last name and silentfilm (example: podmers_silent_film)
3. As you watch the silent movie, pay close attention to the "mood" of each scene. Is it upbeat? Sad? Suspenseful? Happy? Then look at how long the scene is... you will want to make your sound clip/song/sound effect to match that time. If it is 7 seconds, make your sound clip 7 seconds.
Make sure to include:
1. EVERY part of the movie should have some sort of sound with it... no silence anywhere.
2. Make sure it goes with the mood of the scene.
3. Minimum of 5 different musical "pieces"/songs/"scores."
4. Minimum of 3 sound effects.
